Position Overview
The Warehouse/Forklift Operator works closely with and under the direction of the Branch and Assistant Branch Manager to support rental operations, yard and warehouse procedures, rental inventory control, and customer service. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead by example. This position plays a key role in daily operations and equipment readiness.
The Warehouse/Forklift Operator will interact daily with customers, employees, and corporate partners, making relationship-building and follow-through critical to success. Accuracy, organization, and a positive, solutions-focused mindset are essential. This role requires a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and physical, hands-on work in an industrial environment
Job Description
We are seeking a responsible and reliable warehouse/forklift operator. The applicant must be able to operate a forklift, test and maintain our inventory of rental equipment used by underground contractors, and assist with the maintenance of our trucks and warehouse. Warehouse work consists of maintaining appearance of yard and warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, testing and refurbishment of rental equipment used by heavy construction contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift to assist customers and employees with the safe and timely loading and unloading of rental equipment
- Assist with overseeing the required and scheduled maintenance and upkeep of branch facilities, vehicles, and equipment
- Test, inspect, and maintain rental equipment used by underground and heavy construction contractors
- Provide outstanding customer satisfaction
Required Attributes
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift experience
- Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
- Customer focused mindset
- Experience or an interest in heavy and underground construction industries
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail
- Flexibility and adaptability in a growing, changing business environment
Preferred Attributes
- Basic knowledge of earthmoving or underground utility industries
- Experience with geo-positioning instruments and concepts
- Mechanical skills for small engine repairs

Salary: $22.00-$24.00/hour
