Full Job Description

Job Description: Serve patrons in a courteous manner, which promotes human dignity; clean kitchen and serving areas and equipment; and assist with general duties. This position is 21.5 hours a week. St. John's Breadline is open 7 days a week. Coverage on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas may be required.

Job Duties:

Courteously interact with guests while enforcing house rules with firmness and sensitivity.
Serve food and assist in its preparation.
Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and floors.
Clean kitchen equipment and tables.
Welcome and assist volunteer groups and individuals.
Keep written documentation of timesheets, number of meals served, commodity food usage, daily tasks completion, and donations.
Evaluate the quality of food donations and creatively use them each day.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school / General education degree.
Ability to accept instructions and apply them logically and responsibly and to make productive use of unsupervised time.
Illinois Food Sanitation course completion.
