Credit Analysts evaluate and determine the credit risks of the high risk, high dollar amount and more complex commercial and consumer clients through detailed financial statement analysis, industry assessment, collateral valuation, and cash flow analysis. Must demonstrate working knowledge of applicable federal regulations and internal Mid-Missouri Bank loan policy.

Essential Duties

Compare liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of individual or company being evaluated to determine risk.
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses to come to a credit decision.
Prepare reports that include the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money
Compile reports regarding finance and credit data.
Complete credit analyses and summaries of loan request, and submit to loan committees for approval.
Comply with all Bank policies/procedures and all applicable federal and state laws and regulations
Market, train, counsel, advise and communicate credit department policy and procedures to company personnel.
Comply with security procedures established to ensure safety for employees and customers, to protect the privacy of customer account and financial information, as well as, follow fraud prevention guidelines established to protect the Bank from unnecessary losses
Generate financial ratios, using computer programs, to evaluate customers financial status
Maintain meeting documents that include
- CDC agendas
- CDC minutes
- Maintain Egnyte
Prepare loan reviews outlined in the loan policy
Assist in gathering information requested by examiners/auditors during bank examinations
Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Maintain friendliness and professionalism through the proper use of tact & diplomacy when dealing with customers at all times
Display a positive attitude and enjoy working with the public
Excellent interpersonal, communication, & organizational skills
Strong mathematical skills along with accuracy
Detail oriented
Possess a great sense of organization, priority and time management
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to identify, research and problem solve on a critical level and think on your feet
Ability to be flexible and to multi-task on a regular basis
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to recognize and focus on critical issues
Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources
Strong knowledge of bank products/services & regulations
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, word, and Outlook
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other business related field
Demonstrated capability of analyzing and valuing complex commercial deals
Knowledge if economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
