Full Job Description

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST PRN | FULTON STATE HOSPITALLOCATION

Fulton State Hospital

PAY

$69/hr

SCHEDULE

Up to 24 hours per week
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Monday – Friday (scheduled as needed)
Earn $28,000 a year working one shift a week!!

POSITION OVERVIEW

Fulton State Hospital is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist PRN to provide clinical assessments and therapeutic interventions focused on functional independence, safety, and fall risk reduction. The OT will evaluate patients, recommend adaptive equipment, and implement treatment strategies to improve daily living skills and overall functional performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Fall Risk & Mobility Support

Assess functional mobility and identify fall risks
Recommend and coordinate adaptive equipment needs
Notify facility staff of required equipment
Provide patient and caregiver education on safe equipment use
Implement interventions to reduce fall risk

Occupational Therapy Interventions

Assess and treat deficits related to activities of daily living (ADLs)
Support self-care and functional independence
Address fine motor coordination challenges
Provide generalized strength and weakness rehabilitation
Assist with muscle re-education
Support pain management strategies

MINIMUM REQUREMENTS

Active Occupational Therapist license (U.S. state license required)
Experience in acute care, behavioral health, or rehabilitation setting preferred
Ability to perform functional assessments and treatment planning
Strong communication and patient education skills
