This position provides high‑level administrative and clerical support to the Director and professional staff. Essential Functions
Serves as Secretary to the Director and professional staff.
Reviews invoices for BEI Raters, Interpreters, Commissioners, and Licensure Board invoices.
Performs a variety of complex, specialized clerical support functions.
Serves as receptionist in the agency’s executive office.
Identifies needs for office supplies.
Through sign language, communicates with those who are deaf and hard of hearing and others. Including clients, government officials, staff, and others.
Performs other duties as required and assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two years of office experience.
Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 35 words per minute.
In addition to having a written and spoken knowledge of the English language, candidates are required to sign American Sign Language at a colloquial skill level in carrying out position duties in conjunction with non-English speaking individuals.
Conditions of Employment
Requires a valid drivers license and the ability to travel, including overnight stays.
Requires the ability to work outside normal hours as operational needs require.
