Full Job Description

Summary: One of the premier Roofing contractors in the Midwest is looking to add an Assistant Project Manager/Roofing Estimator to the Company’s growing Roofing Department.

Works independently and performs day to day activities while reporting to Project Managers including the following:

- – Work with Estimators on certain projects in the bidding phase including take-offs, material pricing, project visits, preconstruction meetings. Estimate smaller private projects & manage them.

- – Meet with Project Estimator & Superintendent to go over how the project is thought to be loaded, organized, estimates, quotes, sub-contracts etc.

- – Assist with managing the project from contract signatures to warranty issuance. Including submittals, purchase orders, material procurement, subcontractor coordination, pay applications.

- – Maintain contact with Owner / General Contractors for schedule & start date, including updating project schedules once projects start.

- - Perform weekly job-site visits for ongoing projects and attend job-site meetings as required.

- – Work with Superintendent / Project Manager to overcome obstacles and changes as the project progresses.

- – Assist in updating the daily manpower list with for where crews are working the next day.

- - Keep safety first through managing and supporting company safety policies and procedures

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Able to work effectively and build relationships with people at all levels. Must be able to motivate team members and be able to coordinate cross functional processes and others not under his/her direct supervision
Able to work effectively both independently and with teams. Excellent problem-solving skills and able to use good judgment to make recommendations and decisions
Superior follow-up and follow-through skills
Must demonstrate attention to detail
Must have strong structured thinking skills and technical aptitude
Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities

Responsive and flexible

Potential growth into a Project Manager / Estimator roll.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, or related field preferred.

- 4+ years experience in the construction industry.

- Commercial Roofing Experience preferred.

- Microsoft Suite.

- Adobe, Procore, Bluebeam Experience is a plus but not required.
