Full Job Description

The Bookkeeper supports the organization’s day-to-day financial operations by maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, and posting payments. Person must be diligent and self-motivated with attention to detail.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process full cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice coding, 3-way match, general ledger distribution, entry into the ERP systems, and preparation of weekly check runs
Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy in debits and credits across the general ledger.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and account analysis.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations to verify the integrity of financial information and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Support compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards.
Perform data entry tasks with a focus on double-entry bookkeeping accuracy; handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
Maintain digital filing systems, including vendor files, w-9 forms,
Process 1099s annually.
Perform light office duties, such as ordering office/breakroom supplies,
Perform other duties as required.
Support with HR tasks, such as benefits open enrollment.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRMENTS:

Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis
Knowledge of GAAP accounting standards is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Workspace, and ERP; NetSuite experience a plus
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
3-5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience

Pay: $54,000.00 - $62,500.00 per year
