Full Job Description

Project Manager | Heavy Civil Construction | Western Massachusetts

A growing heavy civil contractor in Western Massachusetts is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to its leadership team. This is an opportunity to join a well-established company that is expanding its regional presence and taking on increasingly complex site development and infrastructure projects.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, working closely with field operations, and making a direct impact on the growth of an organization.

What You'll Be Doing

Manage projects from award through closeout, ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget.
Lead all financial aspects of projects, including forecasting, cost control, change orders, and margin management.
Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
Partner closely with Superintendents and field teams to keep projects moving efficiently.
Identify challenges early and develop practical solutions to keep work progressing.
Utilize Procore and other construction management software to maintain accurate project documentation.
Ensure all work meets quality standards, engineering specifications, and OSHA safety requirements.
Help improve internal processes and contribute to the continued growth of the organization.

What They're Looking For

5+ years of Project Management experience in heavy civil construction.
Experience managing projects involving site development, earthwork, mass grading, underground utilities, or infrastructure.
Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, estimating, procurement, and project financials.
Ability to read and interpret civil plans and specifications.
Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management software.
Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to build relationships across project teams.
Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License (CSL) and OSHA 30 required.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred but not required.
