Mental Health

Administrative Assistant with Prior Authorization Experience (2 years)

We are currently seeking a qualified clinical administrative assistant with strong focus on Prior Authorization experience for medications. This person will be someone with excellent communication skills, keen attention to detail, and extensive administrative experience in a medical/mental health environment. At Stepping Stones Psychiatry LLC, we strive to provide high quality, patient centered and compassionate mental health care in a calm, and friendly setting. This is only possible with the contribution of our team of administrative assistants. As the face and voice of our practice, you will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, offering your expertise in a knowledgeable and respectful manner. We offer a variety of services, including diagnostic evaluations, psychiatric medication management and psychiatric consultation. We offer innovative treatments for mood disorders, including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Ketamine therapies, both of which can be life changing for those who have suffered with treatment resistant depression.

Objectives of this role

· Obtain, monitor and maintain prior authorizations for medication

· Maintain strong knowledge of various insurance plans

· Answer phones, respond to texts and voicemails

· Prepare and ensure FMLA paperwork is complete and timely

· Ensure accurate and efficient patient data in EMR

· Cultivate patient relationships with clear boundaries

· Liaise between patient and providers

Responsibilities once trained

· Initiate prior authorizations for medications

· Welcome patients at the front desk, collect copays, verify patient data

· Schedule appointments, assist with coordinating labs and referrals

· Administer TMS services

· Support and administer Ketamine services

· Onboard and update new patients into EMR

· Update patient data as it becomes known in EMR

· Billing knowledge to converse with patients

· Generate prescriptions

· Support the upkeep and maintenance of the office

Skills and Qualifications

· Functional knowledge of the Prior Authorization process

· Demonstrated interpersonal and written communication skills

· Electronic Medical Record efficiency

· Organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

· Experience with collaborative team work

· Experience as an administrative assistant

Preferred Qualifications

· Education in mental health field

· 2 years experience in a physicians office setting

· 2 years experience with Prior Authorizations

Job Type: Full time

Communication: Ring Central Cloud-based communication for text, fax, phone and and team messaging

Compensation:

$22.50 - $24.50 per hour
