CRJ Aviation LLC is seeking an experienced and motivated Ground Service Equipment (GSE)Supervisor to oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational readiness of all ground service equipment.
Job Summary:
The Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Supervisor is responsible for the oversight, maintenance, and operational readiness of all ground support equipment used in airport and aircraft servicing operations. This role ensures equipment reliability, safety compliance, and cost-effective fleet management to support efficient ground handling operations.
Key Responsibilities:
● Manage the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of all ground service equipment (e.g., tugs, belt loaders, GPUs, air start units, de-icingequipment).
● Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability.
● Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.(FAA, OSHA, TSA, and company policies).
● Supervise GSE technicians and maintenance staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
● Monitor equipment performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
● Oversee procurement, inventory control, and lifecycle management of GSE assets.
● Coordinate with operations teams to ensure equipment availability meets operational demands.
● Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and equipment warranties.
● Investigate equipment failures, accidents, or safety incidents and implement corrective actions.
● Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and compliance documentation.
● Complete SGF preventive maintenance and repairs.
● Complete COU preventative maintenance and repairs.
● Review invoices and submit approvals.
● Manage Passthroughs, and coordinate with AP and AR.
● Travel to company stations
● Manage all GSE maintenance Vendor Relationships.
● Provide and advise GSE Leases and Purchases of equipment and update Asset Tiger for all G4 equipment.
Qualifications:
● High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in
Aviation Maintenance, Engineering, or related fields preferred.
● 5+ years of experience in GSE maintenance or aviation ground
operations.
● 2–3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
● Strong knowledge of diesel, electric, and hydraulic systems used in GSE.
● Familiarity with aviation safety regulations and maintenance compliance
standards.
● Proficiency in maintenance management systems and Google Suite.
● Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
● ASE Certification preferred.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment & Requirements:
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
- Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 100lbs, and perform occasional physical work.
- Must pass background check, drug screening, and obtain airport security clearance.
- Must obtain a valid drivers license.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
