Full Job Description

Ministry Function:
The Development Strategy Manager supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope (COH) by leading operational advances regarding donor database, analyzing donor data to drive fundraising efforts, and bringing innovative solutions to improve processes and systems. This will allow the Development team to optimize stewardship of COH resources to serve our partners with excellence.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Helps manage and maintain Salesforce to ensure accurate, timely, and comprehensive records of donors, constituents, and fundraising activities. Identifies areas of improvement and leads strategy for best practices regarding data hygiene.
Oversees and assists with research as necessary, including prospect research, trip planning, and volunteer engagement within Development. Manages all research projects related to fundraising and ensures efficiency and effectiveness.
Identifies necessary analytics and executes data extraction to analyze key data points that drive decision making related to fundraising. Assists partner engagement directors and managers in reviewing their caseloads and keeping them active and effective, making educated recommendations for which donors they should partner with and where we should focus our fundraising efforts.
Develops and maintains dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs), measures the effectiveness of fundraising initiatives, and informs decision-making. Works closely with technology solutions to keep records up to date, develops a clean user interface, and builds tools necessary for advancement.
Research, identify, and implement technology and tools that can be used for the advancement of the team, including Artificial Intelligence.
Collaborates with internal teams and other working groups to optimize CRM usage, upholds data integrity, and identifies opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements. Builds processes (such as wealth screening, vetting, donor journeys, etc.) for Partner Engagement to connect with volunteers across the organization.
Determines and develops needed processes and policies as related to CRM usage, best practices, onboarding, etc. Maintains a knowledge hub of resources, templates, and recorded trainings.
Develops and facilitates training sessions that will increase cohesiveness and informs strategy. Trains the team on how to best use technology to increase productivity and efficiency. Assists in the onboarding process of new team members within Development.
Fulfills all other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Three years’ experience in a professional setting is required. One year experience in prospect research, fundraising, or donor relations is preferred. A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. business, nonprofit management, research) is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Demonstrates the ability to learn new skills and a natural curiosity necessary for effective research.
Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
Demonstrates the ability to effectively work both collaboratively and independently.
Exhibits strong Mac or PC proficiency and working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn Salesforce and other COH systems as needed.

Attends and actively participates in COH At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
