Role Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. This role ensures high-quality imaging, patient safety, and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures following physician orders.
Prepare patients by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
Operate and maintain imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation.
Follow radiation safety standards and infection control protocols.
Document patient information accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond to emergencies when needed.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain equipment quality assurance and report any malfunctions.
Adhere to HIPAA and organizational policies.

Required Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
Active state licensure where required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Knowledge of medical imaging equipment and EHR systems.
Strong communication and patient care skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced certifications in CT, MRI, Mammography, or Interventional Radiology.
One or more years of diagnostic imaging experience.
Experience in hospital or outpatient imaging settings.
Bilingual skills are a plus.

Schedule & Shift

Full-time or Part-time
8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts
Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, and Holiday rotations as required
On-call availability may be required depending on department needs

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour

Work Location: On the road
