Join a team where accuracy matters, curiosity is valued, and your attention to detail helps create a better patient experience before care even begins.
At Medical Consulting Group, LLC, we’re focused on building a valuable team, not just filling an empty position. Our company is built on self-motivated, accountable professionals who take pride in their work and are always looking for opportunities to grow.
We are seeking a full-time Insurance Verification Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle Management Division. As our company continues to grow, we’re looking for someone who enjoys researching insurance benefits, preparing accurate patient estimates, and ensuring patients, providers, and surgery centers have the information they need before services are rendered.
What You’ll Do
No two days are exactly the same, but your work will center around helping patients and healthcare teams understand insurance coverage before care begins. You’ll spend your day researching insurance benefits, obtaining authorizations when needed, preparing and delivering patient estimates, communicating with insurance carriers, provider offices, and surgery centers, and resolving potential issues before they become billing problems. Every account is a little different, making this role ideal for someone who enjoys investigating details and finding the right answers.
On a typical day, you can expect to:
Verify insurance eligibility and review patient benefits for scheduled procedures.
Research deductibles, coinsurance, copays, out-of-pocket maximums, and authorization requirements.
Prepare patient estimates and discuss expected financial responsibility and payment options.
Communicate with insurance companies, provider offices, surgery centers, and teammates to clarify coverage or resolve discrepancies.
Obtain prior authorizations or referrals when required and document benefit information within our systems.
Stay current on payer guidelines and help ensure accounts move smoothly into the billing process.
You’ll probably enjoy this role if you like solving puzzles, researching answers, staying organized, and taking pride in getting the details right. If you enjoy independent work while collaborating with a supportive team, and find satisfaction in preventing problems before they happen, you’ll thrive in this position.
This description is intended to provide a general overview of the role. Duties and responsibilities may change as business needs evolve.
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of experience in medical insurance verification, patient access, scheduling, medical billing, or another revenue cycle role preferred.
Strong understanding of commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care plans.
Knowledge of insurance terminology including deductibles, copays, coinsurance, out-of-pocket maximums, prior authorizations, referrals, and benefit verification.
Experience preparing patient estimates is preferred.
Comfortable working within multiple payer portals, EHRs, and practice management systems.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and desire to continuously improve.
What You Can Expect From Us
Thoughtful onboarding and clear expectations.
Reasonable productivity standards with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
Supportive, approachable leadership that values your ideas and development.
A collaborative, respectful team environment where people genuinely help one another succeed.

Opportunities to learn new skills and grow within the organization as we continue to expand.
