Overview
Join our dynamic culinary team as a Black Sheep Kitchen Manager, where your leadership will drive excellence in food service, kitchen operations, and team management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of a vibrant, high-energy kitchen environment, ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests. As the backbone of our culinary operations, you will coordinate food production, manage inventory, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your passion for fine dining and hospitality will inspire your team to deliver memorable meals and outstanding service every day.

Duties

Lead and supervise all kitchen staff, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment that encourages growth and excellence
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency with brand standards and customer expectations
Manage inventory control and food handling procedures to minimize waste and optimize resources
Plan menus in collaboration with culinary staff, incorporating dietary considerations and seasonal ingredients
Coordinate shift schedules, assign duties, and monitor performance to ensure smooth daily operations
Enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen activities
Oversee catering events, banquets, and special functions, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes
Maintain open communication with front-of-house teams to synchronize service flow and guest satisfaction
Implement inventory management systems to track supplies, reduce costs, and prevent shortages or overstocking
Train new team members on food production techniques, safety protocols, and customer service expectations

Experience

Proven experience in restaurant management or kitchen supervision within a fast-paced dining environment
Extensive background in fine dining settings with a focus on culinary excellence and presentation skills
Strong knowledge of food safety standards, dietary accommodations, and sanitation practices
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience supervising diverse teams in food production and service roles
Familiarity with inventory management systems and cost control strategies in a food service context
Experience coordinating catering events or large-scale banquets is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills to lead staff effectively and collaborate across departments
