About the Role
An established premium consumer-products company is seeking an exceptional Senior Brand Content & Creative Lead to own the development of branded product content across consumer, e-commerce, wholesale, retail, email, social, and digital channels.
This is a senior, hands-on creative position for someone who can take a physical product and build the story around it—from the original idea and visual direction through graphics, photography, video, campaign development, and final execution across channels.
We are not looking for someone who simply executes creative briefs.
We are looking for someone who can be handed a new product and independently determine:
- What makes the product interesting.
- What consumers should understand about it.
- What the creative story should be.
- How it should be photographed or filmed.
- What original graphics should be created.
- How the campaign should look and feel.
- How that story should translate across Amazon, e-commerce, email, social media, wholesale, retail, and sales channels.
- How one creative idea can become a complete library of high-quality branded content.
The successful candidate will combine high-level creative judgment with exceptional hands-on execution.
You should be equally comfortable establishing the visual direction for a major product launch, creating sophisticated artwork in Photoshop or Illustrator, art directing a product shoot, editing a short-form video, reviewing an Amazon image sequence, creating retailer-facing sales materials, and presenting creative concepts to senior leadership.
Luxury and Premium Brand Experience
Meaningful professional experience with luxury, premium, or highly design-driven consumer products is required.
We are particularly interested in candidates from categories such as luxury accessories, watches, fashion, men's lifestyle or other elevated consumer products.
You should understand the visual language of premium brands—restraint, proportion, materials, typography, lighting, detail, consistency, and storytelling—and know how to create desire without making a brand feel promotional or mass-market.
This is a senior individual-contributor and creative-lead role. You will have significant creative ownership and will work directly with senior leadership while collaborating across marketing, sales, e-commerce, product development, and outside creative partners.
This is a full-time, five-day-per-week, in-office position in New York City. Hybrid arrangements are a possibility.
What You’ll Own
Brand Storytelling & Creative Direction
- Establish creative concepts and visual direction for product launches, seasonal campaigns, brand initiatives, promotions, and ongoing content.
- Identify the strongest stories behind products, including design, materials, finishes, engineering, functionality, heritage, craftsmanship, and consumer benefits.
- Translate those stories into compelling visual communication.
- Develop campaign concepts, creative treatments, mood boards, storyboards, shot lists, and visual references.
- Establish the creative hierarchy for each campaign rather than waiting to receive a fully developed brief.
- Ensure creative work consistently reflects a sophisticated premium brand position.
- Maintain and evolve brand visual standards across channels.
- Present creative concepts directly to senior leadership and clearly articulate the thinking behind them.
- Challenge creative that is visually attractive but does not effectively communicate the product or strengthen the brand.
Original Graphic Creation
Advanced hands-on design ability is central to this role.
- Create sophisticated original campaign graphics in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Transform basic product photography into polished, premium campaign imagery.
- Build custom visual environments, backgrounds, textures, patterns, illustrations, icons, diagrams, and branded graphic elements.
- Execute advanced compositing, masking, retouching, lighting, shadows, reflections, perspective, color correction, and color grading.
- Integrate products naturally into created environments while maintaining complete product accuracy.
- Develop product-feature graphics, comparison visuals, educational graphics, technical callouts, launch graphics, and storytelling assets.
- Create original vector graphics and scalable branded elements in Illustrator.
- Establish sophisticated typography, spacing, hierarchy, composition, and visual rhythm.
- Develop creative systems that can expand across multiple formats without becoming repetitive.
We are looking for a creator, not simply a production designer.
A portfolio consisting primarily of supplied photography with typography placed over it, template-based social content, or basic photo retouching will not meet the requirements of this position.
Product Photography, Video & Art Direction
- Determine what photography and video are needed to tell a product story effectively.
- Develop mood boards, creative treatments, shot lists, storyboards, and production plans.
- Art direct product photography and video.
- Style and prepare products, surfaces, props, backgrounds, and environments for shoots.
- Personally photograph or film products when appropriate using professional equipment or high-quality smartphone setups.
- Direct outside photographers, videographers, studios, models, stylists, and other production partners on larger projects.
- Capture product details, finishes, demonstrations, close-ups, lifestyle imagery, and supporting brand content.
- Retouch and enhance product imagery to premium commercial standards.
- Edit reels, short-form videos, launch teasers, product demonstrations, social content, and brand videos.
- Create or direct motion graphics and animation where appropriate.
- Use current creative-production technologies to enhance source imagery, explore concepts, develop environments, create variations, improve production efficiency, and expand what can be produced internally without compromising brand standards.
Content Strategy & Repurposing
We expect this person to think beyond individual deliverables.
A strong product launch or shoot should generate an entire ecosystem of content.
You will determine how one creative concept can become:
- Amazon listing images
- Amazon A+ Content
- Brand Story content
- Brand Store assets
- Website hero content
- Product-page content
- Landing pages
- Email campaigns
- Organic social content
- Reels and short-form video
- Stories
- Paid digital advertising
- Product education
- Retail signage
- In-store materials
- Sell sheets
- Sales presentations
- Wholesale launch materials
- Trade-show creative
- Retailer content kits
You should understand what belongs on each platform rather than simply resizing the same graphic for every channel.
E-Commerce & Amazon
- Own the visual storytelling strategy for e-commerce product pages.
- Create complete Amazon image sequences that communicate both brand and product.
- Develop A+ Content, Brand Story modules, Brand Store assets, comparison content, and product education.
- Translate features and specifications into easy-to-understand visual communication.
- Develop e-commerce graphics that balance premium presentation with conversion and customer understanding.
- Create website banners, landing pages, collection content, product-page graphics, and launch content.
- Work directly within Amazon Seller Central and e-commerce platforms to publish and maintain creative.
- Collaborate with e-commerce leadership to evaluate content effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure digital content maintains brand integrity while addressing platform-specific customer behavior.
Social & Brand Content
- Develop an ongoing content strategy that gives the brand something meaningful to say between product launches and promotions.
- Create original graphics, photography, reels, video, animation, educational content, product stories, behind-the-scenes content, and lifestyle creative.
- Identify stories within product design, development, materials, features, heritage, retail activity, and customer behavior that can become compelling content.
- Establish visual consistency across social channels.
- Develop campaign and content calendars.
- Adapt creative appropriately across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
- Understand the difference between content intended to build brand equity, educate consumers, generate engagement, and drive conversion.
- Oversee publishing and scheduling as appropriate.
- Use performance insights to inform future creative without allowing short-term metrics to dilute the brand.
Email & Customer Marketing
- Develop visual storytelling for product launches, promotions, replenishment, education, retention, and brand communications.
- Design and build sophisticated branded email campaigns.
- Work directly within Klaviyo to create, test, schedule, and publish campaigns and flows.
- Adapt broader campaign concepts into effective email communication rather than treating email as an isolated channel.
- Maintain premium brand presentation while creating clear hierarchy and calls to action.
Wholesale, Retail & Sales Creative
This position is equally responsible for supporting the presentation of the brand to our wholesale partners and sales organization.
The successful candidate must understand that consumer storytelling and retailer storytelling are related but not identical.
Wholesale Content
- Develop launch materials for retailers, distributors, and sales representatives.
- Create premium sell sheets, catalogs, line sheets, product guides, presentations, price materials, and digital sales tools.
- Translate product stories into materials that help retailers understand why a product belongs in their assortment.
- Clearly communicate product features, differentiation, merchandising opportunities, collections, and selling points.
- Create retailer-ready digital content packages including approved photography, product graphics, video, logos, descriptions, social content, and e-commerce assets.
- Build materials retailers can use to promote products through their own websites, email, and social channels.
Retail & In-Store
- Develop sophisticated in-store brand materials that attract attention without overwhelming the retail environment.
- Create signage, display graphics, point-of-sale materials, counter materials, product education, promotional pieces, and retailer-specific creative.
- Support the visual presentation of launches and seasonal programs at retail.
- Develop creative that works appropriately within premium retail and specialty environments.
Sales Team Support
- Work closely with the sales organization to understand what retailers are asking for and where better creative can help sell the product.
- Develop presentation decks and visual selling tools for key accounts.
- Create launch kits that make it easy for sales representatives to introduce new products.
- Support trade shows, retailer meetings, seasonal presentations, and special account opportunities.
- Develop trade-show graphics, product boards, presentations, signage, and supporting collateral.
Creative Leadership
Although this is a hands-on role, we expect senior-level leadership.
- Set the visual standard for work produced internally and externally.
- Provide clear creative direction to photographers, videographers, freelancers, agencies, and vendors.
- Evaluate creative objectively and identify when work does not meet brand standards.
- Provide constructive direction that improves the final result.
- Establish repeatable creative systems and workflows.
- Maintain a well-organized library of source photography, video, graphics, templates, production files, and approved brand assets.
- Manage multiple launches and campaigns without sacrificing attention to detail.
- Help identify when work should be handled internally versus by an outside specialist.
- Continually identify opportunities to improve the sophistication, consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness of the brand's creative output.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional experience in brand design, creative content, art direction, marketing design, or a closely related discipline.
- Significant experience working with luxury, premium, or highly design-driven consumer brands.
- Demonstrated experience marketing physical consumer products, not solely services, software, or corporate brands.
- Exceptional portfolio demonstrating sophisticated original creative concepts and hands-on execution.
- Proven ability to develop a campaign from initial idea through final multi-channel execution.
- Expert-level Adobe Photoshop skills.
- Expert-level Adobe Illustrator skills.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
- Advanced compositing, retouching, image manipulation, masking, lighting, shadows, reflections, perspective, and color-grading capabilities.
- Strong original vector and graphic-development skills.
- Exceptional typography, composition, spacing, hierarchy, color, and visual storytelling.
- Experience developing creative across digital, social, e-commerce, email, print, retail, and sales channels.
- Strong understanding of premium product photography and art direction.
- Experience creating or directing video and short-form content.
- Proven ability to independently develop creative direction rather than simply execute an established brief.
- Ability to translate product features and functionality into compelling consumer-facing visual stories.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Experience presenting creative concepts to senior executives and stakeholders.
- Experience directing photographers, videographers, agencies, freelancers, printers, and other creative partners.
- Exceptional attention to detail and product accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple major projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of how brand creative supports commercial objectives.

What Exceptional Performance Looks Like
You are handed a new product with basic photography, product information, and a launch date.
You do not wait for someone to tell you what graphics to make.
You investigate the product.
You identify the strongest story.
You develop the creative concept.
You determine what should be photographed and filmed.
You establish the visual direction.
You create the hero campaign.
You determine how the story changes for a consumer, retailer, sales representative, Amazon shopper, social follower, email subscriber, and in-store customer.
You turn that concept into a complete content ecosystem.
And when the campaign is complete, the product feels more understandable, more distinctive, more valuable, and unmistakably part of a premium brand.
That is the level of creative ownership we are looking for.
