Full Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Scheduler to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will analyze and consolidate customer requirements using both computer-generated data and manual processes. You will develop optimal production schedules by considering various factors such as equipment utilization, workforce availability, inventory levels, customer demand, and external processing needs. You will also collaborate across all company levels to ensure efficient and timely scheduling of operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Manage daily production schedules and ensure their accuracy and efficiency.
Verify inventory accuracy in the Plex system with the support of Operations, rectify any discrepancies, and report them to management.
Monitor and forecast requirements for customers and suppliers.
Track machine utilization and shift performance across all work centers, and escalate underperformance issues to Plant Managers.
Coordinate with plant supervision on product launches, scheduling parameters, and material/component procurement.
Collaborate with the quality department to manage the disposition of rejected parts promptly.
Oversee Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and order components as needed to support production.
Provide daily Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports to management.
Ensure timely shipment of parts in coordination with the warehouse supervisor.
Manage relationships and deadlines with outside processors and subcontractors.
Proactively manage production schedules and purchase orders with external suppliers to prevent delays.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent; some college education is preferred.
Experience with personal computers, including proficiency in spreadsheets and word processing.
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail.
