About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Customs Brokerage Entry Writer to join our import operations team. The ideal candidate will have experience in U.S. Customs entry processing, excellent knowledge of import regulations, and strong communication skills to coordinate with clients, carriers, and government agencies. This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliant and efficient clearance of goods through U.S. Customs and Partner Government Agencies (PGA).

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and file accurate import entries through ACE/ABI systems.
Review and verify commercial invoices, packing lists, and other shipping documents for compliance.
Classify merchandise using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTSUS).
Ensure adherence to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), FDA, USDA, and Fish & Wildlife (FWS) regulations.
Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely release and delivery.
Communicate with clients, carriers, and government agencies to resolve entry discrepancies or document requests.
Maintain accurate records in accordance with CBP and company retention policies.
Assist in audits, post-summary corrections, and compliance reviews as needed.

Qualifications

1–3 years of customs brokerage or import operations experience (required).
Familiarity with ACE/ABI systems and entry filing procedures.
Working knowledge of U.S. import regulations and HTS classification.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
Customs Broker License (preferred but not required).
