What You’ll Do:
The Senior Administrator of Talent and Diversity Development assists the district with its mission to ensure that the Springfield Public Schools are world class learning environments that produce 21st century leaders; that our students will graduate from high school College and Career ready; and that the school district attracts knowledgeable, highly effective and diverse staff who want to work in a high performing district. The Senior Administrator of Talent and Diversity Development partners with senior leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive talent strategy and corresponding diversity and inclusion programs to continue to attract and retain the type of talent that helps our students to succeed. The Senior Administrator of Talent and Diversity Development develops proactive and innovative approaches to ensure that top talent is sourced, attracted, recruited, and retained by the district. The Senior Administrator of Talent and Diversity Development administers the expansion of key strategic recruitment and retention initiatives as part of the district’s efforts to diversify the workforce. The Senior Administrator of Talent and Diversity Development maintains and creates pipeline programs for staff to obtain their bachelor’s or master’s degree. The Senior Administrator of Talent and Diversity Development maintains and creates mentorship programs and programming that assist staff with their certification requirements. This position reports directly to the Chief of Human Resources.
Essential Duties of the Job:

Exercise a high degree of responsibility with respect to the Human Resources departmental budget.

Oversees federal and state reporting requirements, including the EPIMS report that is submitted to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).

Works with district administrators to ensure compliance concerning the educator and administrator evaluation process.

Completes special projects and may oversee special projects assigned to the Human Resources Department as assigned by the Chief of Human Resources.

Oversee the dissemination of Human Resource related employee notifications.

Serves as a member of various district committees as assigned by the Chief of Human Resources.

Adheres to a professional code of ethics: maintains trust and a high level of confidentiality; models behaviors that are legally and morally responsible at all times; and treats all individuals with fairness, dignity, and respect.

Maintains a high level of competency in the field of education and human resources, remaining current in issues related to areas of responsibility.

Performs related duties of a similar nature and level as assigned

At least 5 years of successful teaching experience

Qualifications:

Master’s degree (required)

Massachusetts Assistant Principal/Principal licensure (or eligibility)

At least 5 years of successful teaching experience

Experience with staff recruitment

Experience in human resources
