Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Maternal-Fetal Medicine Sonographer to join our specialized obstetric imaging team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in obstetric ultrasound procedures, with a focus on maternal-fetal medicine. This role involves performing detailed fetal and maternal assessments, providing critical diagnostic information, and supporting expectant mothers through compassionate patient care. The sonographer will collaborate closely with obstetricians, radiologists, and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging and optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive obstetric ultrasound examinations, including high-risk fetal assessments and detailed anatomy scans.
Utilize advanced sonography techniques to evaluate fetal growth, development, and placental health.
Apply thorough knowledge of maternal physiology and anatomy to interpret imaging results accurately.
Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during all procedures.
Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and provide reassurance throughout the imaging process.
Collaborate with medical teams to review findings, assist in diagnosis, and support clinical decision-making.
Document all imaging procedures meticulously in accordance with hospital standards and medical terminology requirements.
Stay current with developments in medical imaging technology, sonography practices, and maternal-fetal medicine advancements.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Sonographer or in a similar obstetric ultrasound role.
Strong knowledge of maternal-fetal physiology, anatomy, and obstetric ultrasound protocols.
Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to obstetrics and radiology.
Demonstrated expertise in sonography techniques, including 3D/4D imaging when applicable.
Familiarity with diagnostic radiology principles and medical imaging safety standards.
Excellent patient care skills combined with compassionate communication abilities.
Ability to operate advanced ultrasound equipment and interpret complex imaging data accurately.
Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent credential is required; specialization in maternal-fetal medicine is preferred.
