Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Marketing and Creative Strategy to lead our brand’s growth and innovation. The Director of Marketing & Creative Strategy is responsible for leading and executing all creative, branding, and digital communication efforts for Least of These. This role ensures the organization's visual identity, messaging, and digital presence are compelling, consistent, and aligned with the organization's mission and strategic goals. The Director of Marketing & Creative Strategy serves as both a strategic leader and hands-on creator, developing and executing graphic design, website management, social media, email marketing, SEO, digital storytelling, and multimedia content that strengthens brand awareness, community engagement, and fundraising efforts. Video production and multimedia experience is highly valued.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead and execute all creative, branding, and digital communication efforts for Least of These, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with organizational goals.
· Design and produce high quality graphic assets, including print and digital, for all organizational needs, including fundraising campaigns, events, donor communications, social media, presentations, and internal materials.
· Update, and maintain the organization’s website and landing pages, ensuring accuracy, usability, and alignment with current campaigns, programs, and messaging.
· Implement and manage SEO strategy, including keyword optimization, content updates, and performance improvements to increase visibility and reach.
· Develop, execute, and manage email marketing campaigns including newsletters, donor appeals, event promotions, and automated communications, optimizing for engagement and conversion.
· Collaborate with the Development Director and Executive Director to support fundraising campaigns through strategic messaging, creative assets, and digital execution.
· Translate organizational priorities, program impact, and fundraising goals into clear, compelling visual and digital storytelling.
· Ensure all creative, print and digital content aligns with brand standards, voice, and messaging guidelines.
· Manage creative workflows, timelines, and priorities across multiple projects to meet organizational deadlines and needs.
· Monitor performance across digital platforms including email, website, and social media, using data to improve effectiveness and engagement.
· Stay current on print and digital trends, tools, and best practices to continuously strengthen the organization’s digital presence.
· Support video and multimedia content creation, including storytelling, campaign content, and event support, either directly or through coordination with contractors.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience in graphic design, digital marketing, or creative leadership with a strong portfolio of work.
· Strong proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent platforms.
· Proven experience building and maintaining websites and landing pages, including working within CMS platforms and applying basic SEO principles.
· Experience developing and executing email marketing campaigns with a focus on engagement and conversion.
· Working knowledge of SEO strategy, keyword optimization, and content performance.
· Strong visual storytelling skills with the ability to translate mission, impact, and fundraising goals into compelling creative content.
· Proficiency in using data and analytics to evaluate performance and improve digital and campaign effectiveness.
· Ability to exercise sound judgement, maintain confidentiality and uphold high ethical standards.
· Skilled in managing multiple projects, timelines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to brand consistency across all platforms.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, and Teams.
· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership and cross functional teams.
· Video production, editing, and multimedia experience preferred.
· Valid drivers’ license with a clean driving record required.
· Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends to support campaigns, events or food distributions as needed.
