Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Podiatrist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert foot and ankle care, diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions affecting lower extremities. Your expertise will help improve patients’ mobility, alleviate pain, and enhance their overall quality of life. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, utilize advanced diagnostic tools, and deliver comprehensive patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Conduct thorough clinical assessments of patients presenting foot and ankle issues, including physical examinations and medical history reviews
Diagnose conditions such as bunions, heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, diabetic foot ulcers, and other musculoskeletal or neurological disorders affecting the lower limbs
Develop personalized treatment plans that may include medication management, physical therapy, orthotic prescriptions, or minor surgical interventions
Utilize medical imaging techniques such as X-rays or ultrasound to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
Educate patients on foot health, injury prevention, proper footwear choices, and post-treatment care to promote long-term wellness
Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals across specialties such as endocrinology, orthopedics, vascular medicine, and primary care to ensure comprehensive patient management
Maintain detailed and accurate medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or similar platforms

Skills

Proven experience in podiatric medicine with post-residency practice in outpatient or hospital settings
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to foot and ankle conditions as well as general physiology
Proficiency with diagnostic radiology tools including X-ray interpretation and ultrasound imaging
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient management
Ability to perform minor surgical procedures such as toenail removals or wound debridement with aseptic technique
Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate care and effective communication
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security
