Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Description

Job Description

Position purpose:

Performs Obstetric and Gynecologic ultrasound, Ob/Gyn Doppler, in low-risk and high-risk patients as requested. Sonographer will have possibility to consult with the Physician regarding findings immediately after completion or during the scan. Physician will re-scan the patient if needed.
Prepares a preliminary report
Must be willing to cover satellite offices within the area as needed
Performs related clerical duties as needed.

Education:

Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program that is accredited by the Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education program (CAAHEP) is required

Requirements:

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology
RDMS certification in Abdomen is desirable but not required
NT, nasal bone, fetal echocardiogram: desirable but not required.

Certification in fetal echocardiogram will be required after two years of working for the company. The company will provide you with tools to pass the exam.

Excellent communication skills with co-workers and patients
Empathy and compassion for patients

Job Type: Full-time; part time, prn

This position will be considered full-time with either a four-day schedule or a five-day schedule.

As a full-time employee you will be eligible for benefits after a 90-day probation period. Benefits include medical, dental insurance, disability, life, 401K, and others.

Part-time position may also be available.
