Full Job Description

Pinguinos Gelato is a growing, family-run gelato shop and catering company in the Provo area. We make small-batch gelato and sorbet from scratch and bring it to the community. We're looking for someone who loves making an exceptional product — consistently, every day — and wants to own an important part of our operation: production.

About the role

As our Lead Gelato Producer, you're the person who makes sure the gelato case is always full, beautiful, and on-standard — for both our retail floor and our catering events. This is a hands-on craft role with real ownership over how and what we make. You'll spend most of your day producing gelato and sorbet, and you'll also plan production,be responsible for inventory and purchasing, help develop new flavors, and coordinate the production team's schedule so we're always ready for the week ahead.

The people side of the team — hiring, discipline, and reviews — stays with our management. Your world is production: making a great product and running a smooth production environment.

What you'll do

Make small-batch gelato and sorbet to our quality and consistency standards
Own the production plan — decide what to make, when, and how much, for both retail and catering
Manage product and ingredient inventory to keep us stocked and minimize waste
Help develop and test new flavors and seasonal recipes
Coordinate the production schedule and the production team's hours around each week's needs
Keep production areas clean, organized, and up to food-safety standards
Work within our systems to track production, inventory, and tasks
Down the road, potential to help develop and launch new offerings as we grow

What we're looking for

Someone who takes real pride in a consistent, high-quality product
Kitchen, bakery, or food-production experience (gelato or pastry a plus — however we'll train the right person)
Strong organization and planning instincts; you like clear systems and hitting targets
Comfortable working independently and setting the pace for the day
Reliable, food-safety minded, and steady under a busy production load
Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long shifts, and work in production spaces

Schedule

Full-time, roughly 30–40 hours/week, primarily early / daytime production shifts. Our catering volume is busiest spring through fall.

Pay & perks

$[14–18]/hour base, plus incentives

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
