Overview

Join our dynamic facilities maintenance team as a Maintenance Staff member, where your expertise keeps our operations running smoothly and efficiently. This vital role involves performing a wide range of repair, inspection, and preventive maintenance tasks across various building systems and equipment. You will play a key part in ensuring safety, functionality, and comfort within our facilities, contributing to a productive environment for all staff and visitors. We are committed to providing a paid, engaging opportunity for individuals passionate about maintenance, repair, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and mechanical equipment using schematics, hand tools, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters.
Perform electrical work including wiring, troubleshooting electrical equipment, and repairing electrical panels to ensure safety and compliance with standards.
Maintain HVAC systems by diagnosing issues, replacing filters, repairing ductwork, and overseeing system performance to optimize climate control.
Execute plumbing system repairs such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and maintaining plumbing fixtures to ensure proper water flow and sanitation.
Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automation systems and support manufacturing or building automation processes.
Carry out carpentry tasks including repairs to building interiors, maintenance painting projects, and general facilities upkeep to maintain a safe and appealing environment.
Supervise or assist with the use of facilities equipment maintenance programs (CMMS) for tracking work orders, inventory management, and preventative maintenance schedules.
Lead or support team efforts in maintaining facilities equipment including hand tools, electrical equipment repair, and MRO (maintenance, repair & operations) activities.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all maintenance activities while providing excellent customer service to staff or tenants requiring assistance or information.

Experience

Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, schematics, and electrical testing devices like ohmmeters.
Demonstrated ability to perform electrical work including wiring, troubleshooting circuits, and repairing electrical equipment safely.
Experience with HVAC system repair including diagnosing issues with compressors, fans, thermostats, and ductwork.
Skilled in plumbing system maintenance—repairing leaks, unclogging drains—and familiar with plumbing codes and safety standards
Excellent communication skills in English to effectively document work performed and collaborate with team members.
