Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Prep Cook, where your enthusiasm and culinary skills will help create a vibrant, efficient kitchen environment. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting with food assembly, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute to delivering delicious meals that delight our guests and support our kitchen operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary expertise while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, slicing, and measuring according to recipes and menu specifications
Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling dishes
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, mixers, ovens, and food processors
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
Support the cooking process by following recipes accurately and adhering to portion control guidelines
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and smooth kitchen operations
Follow safety protocols in handling food products and operating machinery to prevent accidents or contamination

Skills

Experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices
Proficiency in knife skills, slicing techniques, and ingredient handling
Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal assembly processes
Ability to maintain high standards of food safety management and sanitation practices
Experience operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with kitchen staff and ensuring seamless service
Background in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating reliability and teamwork
Knowledge of catering procedures and serving protocols is a plus
Demonstrated ability to follow safety standards in production environments
