Line Cook – Lucky Street Bar And Grill

Location: St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time
Schedule: Days, nights, weekends and holidays as required

Lucky Street is seeking a dependable and experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate works efficiently in a fast-paced environment, follows recipes and portion standards, and takes pride in serving consistently high-quality food.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to Lucky Street recipes and presentation standards
Set up and maintain a clean, organized and fully stocked workstation
Follow proper portioning, cooking times and plating procedures
Complete assigned prep work before and during service
Monitor food quality, freshness and holding temperatures
Label, date, rotate and properly store food using FIFO procedures
Follow food-safety, sanitation and personal-hygiene requirements
Minimize waste and report shortages or quality concerns to management
Communicate effectively with cooks, servers, bartenders and managers
Assist with receiving, cleaning and closing duties as assigned
Follow all Lucky Street policies and management instructions

Qualifications

Previous line-cook or restaurant-kitchen experience preferred
Basic knowledge of grilling, frying, sautéing and food preparation
Ability to read and consistently follow recipes
Ability to work calmly and efficiently during busy service periods
Dependable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Valid food-handler certification, or ability to obtain one as required
