Position Agreement for:

POSITION TITLE: CUSTOMER SERVICE/MERCHANDISING

REPORTS TO: Front End Manager

RESULT STATEMENT: To work effectively as a team to listen to and give empathetic support to our customers. Have a deep knowledge of the pharmacy process to explain where their prescription is in the process. Help customers in a friendly, timely manner. Always be honest and identify ways that we can improve processes. Maintain accurate and saleable inventory and merchandise it effectively.

WORK LISTING WITH PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

Partnering with management to ensure the operations of the Pharmacy are successful daily and that management goals are met
Process sales transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system
Accept payments
Calculate and return accurate change when required by the payment method
Maintain adequate change denominations in the cash drawer and required additional change
Answer Customer questions about products or services
Report issues with computers, scanners, signature pads, etc.
Receive product as it comes in, verifying the quantities against the invoice and update quantities in inventory.
Correctly record the cost and retail in the POS system.
Stock product, verify upc code against shelf label and always rotate new product to the back
Dust shelves and product according to the log behind the counter. Remove any outdated product.
Mark down short-dated product.
Accept payments on account and provide receipts for the transactions.
Straighten shelves, pulling all product to the front.
File prescription bags away in alphabetical order in “Will Call”
Verify all birthdates on prescriptions when they are being picked up.
Obtain proper identification from customers picking up Controlled substances and Pseudoephedrine products.
Maintain supplies behind the counter (bags, register paper, etc)
Maintain the Kodak Kiosk when product needs replacing
Maintain the sidewalk and back door area in winter during and/or after each snowfall, making sure there are no icy spots
Maintain the cleanliness of the break room and the restroom at least weekly.
Handle all complaints and compliments with grace and composure.
Rotate displays as needed and change for seasons.
Maintain the cleanliness of the store, no boxes in aisles, etc.
Greet all customers with a smile and verbal greeting as they enter the store
Do curbside deliveries as required
Courteously answer the phone by the third ring
Order product as needed from appropriate suppliers to keep inventory maintained
Ask for help if you have more than three people in line.

COMPANY-WIDE STANDARDS:

All work will be performed in accordance with all government laws, regulations, ordinances, and court rulings in those jurisdictions in which the company operates.
All routine work will be documented in a Policy and Procedures manual. The information included in this manual is proprietary.
All work will be performed according to company policies and standards inherent in all position agreements.
Client and company information will be held as strictly confidential outside the company.
All telephone calls, both internal and external, will be returned within one business day and within two hours whenever possible.
Personal cell phones will not be used on the store floor for personal use except in an emergency.
Once the schedule is posted, employees will need to find their own replacement except in the case of emergency or illness.
Employees will maintain basic hygiene and wear company provided clothing and identification while working. They should always wear clothing, shoes, etc. that are appropriate for standing, walking in for an extended period.
Problems with any system must be brought to the attention of manager so the system can be improved, within the structure of the Policy and Procedure manual.
All Policy memoranda indicating changes in policy and/or procedure will be stored in each store’s copy of the Policy and Procedure manual, until the time an updated Manual is provided.
Employees will provide staff assistance as requested; each employee may be asked from time to time to cover other areas of accountability and/or departments
All business communications, whether verbal, visual, or written, whether for internal or external use, will be professional in tone and content and according to any applicable and existing company policies and standards.
Employees will respect each other’s time, space, and need for concentration. Socializing and interruptions must not impede workflow. Do not gossip.
Employees will attend all meetings that are called with their manager.
Employees are encouraged to recommend ideas for the improvement of their department and position that are consistent with the company’s goals and objectives.
