Full Job Description

Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant Position

Come Play, STL is seeking a skilled clinician, who is passionate about children, teens and their families. A person who is eager to continue to hone their clinical skills with the best research-based modalities out there. A person who wants to walk alongside a client and help them reach their therapeutic goals. A person who is flexible and able to adapt to an ever-growing, ever-changing, unique outpatient team driven medical clinic. A person who leads clients, their parents/caregivers, and other team members with humility, perseverance, and confidence. A person who is creative and able to see outside the box to best grow themselves, their clients, and Come Play, STL. A person who desires to work on a collaborative team in order to ensure the best outcomes for Come Play, STL’s clients.

Come Play, STL is a child, teen, and family-focused outpatient medical clinic. We very much are here to serve our families while also caring for ourselves as clinicians. We strive to all be better clinicians by continuing to challenge ourselves clinically, but are also laid back. Each one of our clinicians is a leader at Come Play, STL, and very much encouraged to take on projects that they take sole ownership of. The clients that we care for often get multiple services at Come Play, STL, so we very much work as a collaborative team. We are eight years old, so the company is ever-growing and developing. It's exciting for us all to be a part of something that is unique to other outpatient medical facilities and a place that is not stuck in "this is how we have always done it," but instead well let's figure out the best way to do that "thing" and do it!

Come Play, STL is hiring 2 full-time pediatric occupational therapist assistants.

Requirements:

Must be in compliance with federal, state and local requirements specifically
Must have completed an associate degree program from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program and be certified by the National Board of Certification.
Must hold a current Missouri License through the Missouri State Board of Healing Arts (Missouri Division of Professional Registration).
Must have or obtain current CPR and first aid certification (Heartsaver First Aid and CPR or Basic Life Support)
Pediatric experience, a plus!

Abilities & Skills:

Professional oral and written communication and excellent interpersonal communication skills with clients and coworkers.
Ability to meet the needs of a varied client population therapeutically and sensitively.
Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational and prioritization aptitude
Comply with HIPAA and other federal, state and local regulations, as well, as to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality in client and staff matters
Physical demands require therapists to continually walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and stand for long periods of time and the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds

Hired as an Employee:

5 day work week
Flexibility with scheduling clients (within reason)
