Full Job Description

We are seeking a visionary leader to direct our Community Options and Services initiatives and oversee all Community Options and Services programs, including Options Counseling, Benefits Counseling, Community Outreach/Education, and Transition services. By collaborating with diverse stakeholders, this position will champion innovative, person-centered solutions that strengthen and expand access to resources and improve the quality of life for older adults and their caregivers.

General Description:

Develop, implement, and assess short- and long-term planning for the designated service area
Develop coalitions and partnerships to further the goals of the programs within the designated service area
Supervise and evaluate Community Options and Services-specific staff and volunteers
Develop job descriptions and recruitment plan to select and train Community Options and Services-specific staff and volunteers
Develop, implement, monitor, and review grants and contracts for Community Options and Services related services and programs in compliance with pertinent laws, statutes, and regulations
Formulate Community Options and Services protocol/procedures in accordance with agency policy, including implementation, review, monitoring, and quality assurance on a regular basis
Track, report, and evaluate outcome and performance measures
Act as liaison to the agency and statewide Community Options & Services Planning Committees
Coordinate and assist with special projects, community information, and outreach
Maintain data regarding information requests, referral actions, and follow-up activity
Maintain client confidentiality

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a human services field, plus 3 years of experience In human services delivery systems. Master’s degree preferred. AIRS certification within one year of hire.
Proficient in spreadsheets, word processing & database applications
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Knowledge of community resources, social agency programs and services, and the ability to maintain collaborative relationships in the community. Must have budgeting and personnel management experience.
Ability to move about to the office and lift up to 15lbs, bend, stoop, and stand as needed to file documents or stock office supplies
Local & overnight travel is required. Must have a valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and automobile insurance as required by the state of Missouri. Must have evening and weekend availability for meetings, conferences, and events

$34.00/hr. = $2,720 bi-weekly salary
