We are seeking a skilled Data Governance Analyst to support enterprise data initiatives, with a strong focus on Master Data Management (MDM) and data quality governance. This role will work closely with business and technical teams to ensure data integrity, lineage visibility, and accurate data delivery across a complex ecosystem of source systems and modern data platforms.
This individual will play a critical role in supporting a large-scale data environment hosted in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with integrations across SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, Oracle, Teradata, Postgres, and enterprise data lakes.
We are seeking candidates living in the following states Missouri, Minnesota, Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa.
Master Data Management (MDM)
Work within Reltio MDM to manage, maintain, and enhance master data processes
Support match and merge logic, transformations, and data standardization rules
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners supporting MDM
Contribute to ongoing MDM enhancements and implementation efforts
Data Stewardship & Governance
Ensure end-to-end data quality, consistency, and integrity across multiple systems
Identify and troubleshoot data discrepancies, gaps, and lineage issues
Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define and align data definitions
Monitor data flows and investigate issues when expected data is missing or inaccurate
Support governance efforts by identifying and escalating data quality concerns
Data Analysis & Engineering Support
Write and execute SQL queries to validate data, investigate issues, and support reporting needs
Analyze data across Postgres and Big Query systems to trace lineage and resolve data issues
Validate data ingestion processes and ensure proper data landing across systems
Assess table structures, data mappings, and transformations for accuracy
Data Integration & Architecture Support
Support event-driven architecture by creating configuration files (YAML) to generate backend SQL processes
Contribute to data ingestion pipelines and validate outputs through APIs or Kafka topics
Define API data requirements and specifications, including payload structures and filtering logic
Develop and document data extracts, mappings, and business process flows
Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with business users to gather requirements and understand data needs
Evaluate whether existing data meets business needs or if enhancements are required
Build strong relationships with data owners, engineers, and functional teams
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and configurations
Project & Delivery Support
Support agile delivery processes and data ingestion initiatives across multiple regions
Participate in ongoing system enhancements, including SAP S/4HANA implementations
Contribute to continuous improvement of data processes and governance maturity
Hands-on experience with MDM tools (Reltio preferred)
5+ years of experience in data stewardship, data governance, or data analytics roles
Strong experience writing SQL queries for data analysis and validation
Experience working with enterprise data systems such as Postgres (primary database) and SAP, Salesforce, or similar
Proven ability to troubleshoot data issues and trace data lineage across systems
Experience gathering requirements and translating them into technical solutions
Strong understanding of data quality, data mapping, and data lifecycle management
Experience working in a cloud environment, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) preferred
Exposure to event-driven architecture, APIs, and Kafka
Experience creating or working with YAML-based configurations
Experience working with relational databases
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations
Familiarity with Salesforce CRM

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $195,200.00.
