Full Job Description

Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Part-Time or Full-Time Dermatology Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP), dedicated to delivering exceptional skin care and dermatological services. In this vital role, you will collaborate closely with dermatologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up care. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes while ensuring a positive, engaging experience for every individual you serve. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment committed to excellence in dermatology.

Duties

Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history reviews and physical examinations focused on dermatological conditions
Perform dermatological procedures such as biopsies, cyst removals, skin tag removals, liquid nitrogen freezing as well as other procedures
Manage acute skin issues, triage urgent cases, and coordinate follow-up care effectively
Document patient encounters accurately using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members on diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical research initiatives
Educate patients on skin health, treatment options, and post-procedure care to promote optimal outcomes

Qualifications

Valid certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with current licensure in the state of practice
Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in dermatology.
Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems; experience with data collection and medical records management preferred
Knowledge of CPT coding for dermatological procedures and ICD coding for diagnoses is highly desirable
Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to dermatology
Experience with clinical research or participation in clinical trials is a plus
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly and compassionately
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced environment
