If you are looking for a company that recognizes and rewards your abilities, provides opportunities to impact safety programs for our employees and customers, and fosters an environment to learn and develop, Experitec is for you! This role is an ideal opportunity for an experienced field safety professional who wants ownership of how safety is demonstrated and upheld in daily operations – not just how it is documented in policies and procedures. This position provides the opportunity to shape and lead safety efforts that have a direct and visible impact where they matter most – in the day-to-day work of our field teams.
As Experitec builds out a dedicated EHS function, the Field Safety Manager will be the visible, trusted face of safety across our job sites — leading from the field, not from behind a desk. You'll work alongside a Safety Coordinator who owns the administrative and tracking side of the function, so you can stay focused on presence, engagement, and outcomes where the work actually happens.
At Experitec, you won’t just be maintaining infrastructure — you’ll be an Employee Owner helping power a 100-year-old company’s next chapter. Our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) means you have a direct financial stake in the programs you advance. When Experitec wins, you win.
As an Employer of Choice, Experitec recognizes and rewards your technical expertise, provides opportunities to grow your skills, and gives you the autonomy to make a real impact on the safety of our most important asset – our employee owners. Join a collaborative team where your experience will be valued every day. Lead safety initiatives and help shape the safety systems that keep Experitec running at its best.
What truly sets us apart is our culture. Leadership knows employees by name, development is treated as a rock wall — always climbing, always adding new skills — and the work-life balance is real, not just a talking point. If you’re driven, collaborative, and want your contributions to matter, Experitec is where you belong.
Opportunities to Make an Impact
Owning field safety execution and outcomes across Experitec job sites — with Stop Work Authority to back it up.
Building direct, trust-based relationships with crews through regular onsite presence, toolbox talks, and walkdowns.
Partnering with a dedicated Safety Coordinator who handles administration and tracking.
Helping to shape foundational safety programs and standards as Experitec's EHS function continues to grow.
Representing Experitec safety in recurring customer and partner meetings, including with Emerson.
Analyzing trends across sites to highlight risk challenges to leadership
Joining a culture built on customer focus, collaboration, innovation, integrity, and passion.
What does the Field Safety Manager Do?
In this position you will be:
A visible, trusted safety leader across job sites — on the ground, engaging directly with crews rather than managing from a desk.
Leading field walkdowns, observations, toolbox talks, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) that catch risk before it becomes an incident.
Owning incident response, investigations, and root cause analysis when something happens, and driving corrective actions until they hold.
Enforcing safety policies, PPE requirements, and Stop Work Authority with the standing to halt unsafe work.
Building and owning core safety infrastructure, including the Risk Management System and equipment programs (PMs, 4-gas monitor supply, repair, and bump-test).
Serving as the primary point of contact for customer safety requirements and representing Experitec in customer and partner safety meetings.
Defining the training crews need to work safely, including role-based requirements like HAZWOPER and Hazmat, and delivering field-based training directly.
Reviewing escalated fleet safety events — repeat violations and serious camera-flagged incidents — and having direct conversations with employees about driving behavior and expectations.
Partnering with EHS leadership and the Safety Coordinator to set and periodically review fleet safety escalation thresholds.
Analyzing trends across sites to get ahead of risk before incidents repeat.
What You Will Contribute
Regular, visible presence at job sites that reinforces safe work practices in real time.
Sound judgment under real field conditions, balancing safety, schedule, and customer relationships.
Hands-on leadership of audits, inspections, and corrective action follow-through.
A proactive, prevention-focused approach that reduces incidents rather than just responding to them.
Strong working relationships with customers, field crews, and the Safety Coordinator to keep systems and field execution aligned.
Development and ownership of the annual field safety budget, with regular reporting to leadership on program status and performance.
A collaborative approach to fleet safety — reviewing escalated issues and coaching employees while the Coordinator handles day-to-day monitoring.
The Field Safety Manager partners closely with Talent Management and Engineering Services leadership to develop, implement, and sustain safety programs that support both our people and our operations. The role works collaboratively across functions to ensure safety initiatives are practical, effective, and aligned with business needs. This position will have the specific title of Field Safety Manager.
