Full Job Description

Job Summary

The Billing Manager oversees all revenue cycle functions for an Indirect Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility that performs remote monitoring of cardiac devices, ensuring accurate and compliant claims submission. This role is responsible for optimizing reimbursement, managing the end-to-end billing lifecycle, and navigating the specific payer requirements associated with the remote monitoring of cardiac devices.

Core Responsibilities

Lead the full revenue cycle process for the remote monitoring of cardiac devices, including charge entry, claim scrubbing, and electronic submission.
Manage all EDI, EFT, ACH, and ERA enrollments and necessary system updates to ensure seamless claim transmission and payment posting.
Oversee the payer credentialing process to ensure timely enrollment and continued compliance with insurance networks.
Direct a strategic denials management program, focusing on appeals, medical necessity requirements, and the resolution of coding-related claim rejections for remote monitoring services.
Collaborate with clinical, technical, and patient success teams to ensure documentation and data transmission standards meet the reimbursement requirements for the remote monitoring of cardiac devices.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving federal, state, and commercial payer policies regarding coverage and billing for the remote monitoring of cardiac devices.
Supervise and mentor the billing staff, ensuring consistent performance in high-volume environments and compliance with HIPAA and healthcare billing regulations.
Prepare and deliver analytical financial reports for leadership, tracking key performance indicators such as days in A/R, collection rates, and overall revenue cycle health for the remote monitoring of cardiac devices.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manager or leadership role within healthcare revenue cycle management.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field is preferred, but not required with commensurate experience.
Experience with Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility (IDTF) operations is highly preferred.
Experience working with the Benchmark billing platform is highly preferred.
Demonstrated success in managing medical billing operations within the remote monitoring of cardiac devices or a similar diagnostic environment.
Comprehensive understanding of CPT coding, payer-specific documentation requirements, and reimbursement processes for the remote monitoring of cardiac devices.
Expertise in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) and specialized medical billing software to optimize workflow and revenue accuracy.
Professional certification such as Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) is highly preferred.
