The Granola Bar is searching for an experienced and energetic Front of House Lead Server to join our Darien location. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, is passionate about the food and beverage industry, and enjoys working with people. This position plays a key role in our energetic team of food and beverage enthusiasts who are driven to provide excellent customer service. You’ll have the opportunity to be part of a fun atmosphere where both customers and employees have a great experience that’s welcoming and engaging.

The ideal candidate for this position would be able to provide exceptional hospitality, friendly, outgoing, punctual, an effective communicator and be able to work as a team while supporting the General Manager in leading the team. Must have an open/flexible schedule. We are a busy Breakfast, Brunch/ Lunch, and Dinner restaurant while being a growing company with a fun, fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone to join our family, so if you are just seeking a temporary job please do not apply.

Our Front of the house lead position is an extension of the General Manager. You will learn all front of the house positions such as, Server, Bartender, Barista, Expo and Host. In this position you will be a key holder, support closing duties, cash handling, training and development of the team and also be active in serving within the restaurant as part of the tip pool.

If you have prior experience in a supervisory role, hourly team member training, a desire to lead your peers and grow your career from within this is a great opportunity for you.

Make and serve specialty coffee and tea beverages
Supervising the team
Training and developing team members
End of day cash handling + opening restaurant responsibilities
Dial in an Espresso machine
Speak and interact with both new and regular customers
Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation
Follow health and safety guidelines
Adhere to recipes and presentations for food and beverage items
Be punctual and able to observe regular and consistent attendance
Contribute to a positive team environment

This is a high hourly server rate plus the server portion of the tip pool.
