Full Job Description

Job Summary

This is not a broadcasting Job, those with years of broadcast experience are not well suited for this job as the scope of work is entirely different from the live A/V scene.

We are looking for Technicians to better facilitate the growth of our company. More people every day are calling ITG to install the latest, High-Performance devices in their homes or businesses and We need YOUR help. The Technician will be a part of an experienced team of Engineers and Installers in a STEADILY growing job market.

The Installation Technician II will be responsible for initially assisting another Installer in the installation and maintenance of Surveillance, Intercom, Distributed audio and Video, Teleconferencing, and Wireless Network systems. After the employee shows that they have a very good understanding of our systems they may be sent to do installations or respond to service calls on their own.

Personal Traits

Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision, however support is always there for them should a question or problem arise during a installation.
Must be able to follow directions and have attention to detail
Must be punctual and have self discipline
Must have good interpersonal skills
Must have good Communication skills

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift 50+ pounds with assistance
Must be able to stand for long period (6+ hours at a time)
Should be able to climb extension ladders and “A” frame ladders

Education Requirements, Work Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent
Applicants with a Trade school degree will be considered first
4+ years experience in DataCom, Audio/visual, Surveillance and Access Control systems required
Applicants experienced in Avigilon Unity, Avigilon Alta, Openpath, Digital Watchdog, Turing, RTI, QSYS, POLY X series, will be preferred.

General Requirements

Experience with general and electrical oriented hand tools is preferred (wirestrippers, coax crimpers, multimeters, tone sets)
Must be able to terminate Cat6 in T568B
Must be able to troubleshoot Camera, Camera Server, Network, Video, Access Control issues with minimal guidance.
MUST HAVE ACTIVE DRIVERS LICENSE AND RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION
Candidate must be able to pass drug test

Position Progression

New Technicians will be trained by the System Integrator and/or Director of Systems until they meet a satisfactory understanding of how our installations should be done.
Should the Installation Technician have a satisfactory and thorough understanding of how our systems are installed, they will be promoted from "Installation Technician II" to "Systems Integrator I" and be routed to do jobs on their own, with help from another Installation Technician if deemed necessary.
