Full Job Description

This is a tipped position that typically adds $3-4 per hour to base pay.

Automatic 5% pay increase on January 1st of each year.

Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented BOH (Back of House) Shift Leader to join our dynamic food service team. As a pivotal part of our restaurant operations, you will lead the kitchen and food preparation teams during your shift, ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality service. Your leadership will help maintain exceptional standards in food safety, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction while fostering a positive work environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop management skills and contribute to a fast-paced, hospitality-focused setting.

Duties

Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and food presentation to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
Oversee food safety practices and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
Lead staff training and development initiatives, including onboarding new team members and providing ongoing coaching on food handling, customer service, and operational procedures.
Coordinate with front-of-house management to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve any operational issues promptly.
Assist in shift management by delegating tasks, supervising team members, and ensuring efficient workflow during busy periods.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen management within a quick service or fast-food restaurant environment.
Demonstrated supervising or leadership experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting; previous management or assistant manager experience is highly desirable.
Familiarity with food safety standards, and food industry regulations.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to train staff effectively and foster a collaborative work environment.
Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
