Full Job Description

Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC)

Position: Full-Time / Part-Time

About LClinical Research

LClinical Research is a growing clinical research organization dedicated to conducting high-quality clinical trials while maintaining patient safety, regulatory compliance, data integrity, and adherence to study protocols and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

We are seeking an experienced, organized, and highly motivated Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to join our San Carlos research site and work closely with our Principal Investigator, research team, sponsors, CROs, and study participants.

Minimum Requirement

A minimum of 2 years of hands-on clinical trial experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator or in a comparable clinical research role is required.

Candidates without at least 2 years of clinical trial experience will not be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate clinical trials from site initiation through study closeout.

Recruit, pre-screen, screen, and coordinate study participants.

Schedule and manage participant visits according to study protocols.

Review inclusion/exclusion criteria and assist the PI/Sub-Investigators with participant eligibility.

Facilitate and document the informed-consent process according to applicable regulations, IRB requirements, protocol, training, delegation, and site procedures.

Perform study procedures within appropriate training, delegation, and scope.

Collect and accurately document medical histories, medications, adverse events, and study-related information.

Complete and maintain source documentation, CRFs/eCRFs, and Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems.

Respond to data queries accurately and within required timelines.

Maintain regulatory binders and essential study documents.

Assist with IRB submissions, amendments, continuing reviews, safety reports, and regulatory correspondence.

Coordinate laboratory specimen collection, processing, storage, packaging, and shipment.

Maintain investigational product/device accountability documentation when applicable and appropriately delegated.

Track study supplies, laboratory kits, equipment, and study materials.

Communicate professionally with sponsors, CROs, CRAs/monitors, central laboratories, pharmacies, and study vendors.

Prepare for and participate in Site Qualification Visits (SQVs), Site Initiation Visits (SIVs), monitoring visits, audits, and closeout visits.

Maintain screening, enrollment, delegation, training, temperature, and other required study logs.

Assist with protocol deviations, root-cause analysis, and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) documentation and implementation.

Ensure adverse events and serious adverse events are appropriately escalated and documented according to protocol requirements.

Maintain compliance with ICH-GCP, FDA regulations, HIPAA, IRB requirements, study protocols, and LClinical Research SOPs.

Work closely with the Principal Investigator to support appropriate study oversight and timely completion of study requirements.

Maintain strict participant confidentiality and professional standards.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of hands-on clinical trial/clinical research experience required.

Previous experience working as a Clinical Research Coordinator strongly preferred.

Experience with pharmaceutical-sponsored clinical trials preferred.

Knowledge of ICH-GCP, FDA regulations, HIPAA, and IRB requirements.

Experience with EDC and electronic clinical research platforms.

Strong understanding of source and regulatory documentation.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to manage multiple studies, deadlines, and participant visits simultaneously.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with investigators, sponsors, CROs, monitors, and study participants.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a research team.

GCP and Human Subjects Protection training preferred.

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable:

Phase II–IV clinical trials

Endocrinology and metabolic disorders

Obesity and weight-management clinical trials

Diabetes

Osteoporosis and metabolic bone disorders

Patient recruitment and retention

Regulatory documentation

Sponsor/CRO monitoring visits

CAPA and audit readiness

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is reliable, proactive, highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of taking ownership of assigned clinical trials.

The successful CRC will understand that excellent clinical research requires both outstanding participant care and meticulous documentation. The candidate must be comfortable working directly with the Principal Investigator and research team while ensuring that study activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and according to protocol.
