Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Front Office Coordinator, where your energy and organizational skills will be the heartbeat of our practice! In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from appointment scheduling to insurance verification. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help streamline daily operations, support clinical staff, and foster positive patient relationships. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a collaborative dental environment committed to excellence and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and manage all front desk activities with professionalism and enthusiasm
Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Dentrix
Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing as needed
Maintain accurate patient records in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems including eClinicalWorks and other platforms
Answer multi-line phone systems promptly with excellent phone etiquette, providing clear information and scheduling support
Manage patient intake forms, medical history updates, and documentation review to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and assist with office management tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry

Skills

Proven experience in dental office or medical administrative support with strong clinic experience
Proficiency in dental terminology, medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and insurance verification processes
Familiarity with EMR systems like Epic, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Athenahealth
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10 key typing)
Strong knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and health information management standards
Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively
Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and clerical experience
