Overview

Join our dedicated team as an In Home Caregiver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals needing personalized care and support. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, professional assistance to clients in their own homes, promoting independence, safety, and well-being. Your energy and attention to detail will help create a comfortable environment where clients feel valued and supported every day. This position offers the opportunity to develop rewarding relationships while delivering essential care services tailored to each individual’s needs.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques.
Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary plans, ensuring proper food safety and hygiene standards are maintained.
Support clients with cognitive challenges such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease through specialized memory care techniques and patient observation.
Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community activities to promote social engagement and independence.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces.
Document all care activities meticulously in compliance with healthcare regulations and client care plans.
Offer emotional support and companionship, fostering a trusting relationship that enhances overall well-being.

Experience

Candidates should possess prior experience working in home health or community care settings, with a strong background in senior care or assisted living environments. Experience working with individuals with disabilities—including developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or intellectual disabilities—is highly valued. Familiarity with specialized care such as hospice care, dementia or Alzheimer’s care, memory support, and patient monitoring is essential. Hands-on experience using patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts are preferred. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required or highly recommended. A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and families while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines is crucial for success in this role.
