Job Title: Purchasing Assistant

Location: Cypress, CA

Work Style: Hybrid – 4 days onsite per week

Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Position Overview

A well-established global manufacturing company is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support purchasing, order management, and shipping operations.

This position will work closely with suppliers, customers, factory teams, and internal departments to process purchase orders, monitor delivery schedules, coordinate shipments, and maintain accurate purchasing records.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and interested in developing a career in purchasing, supply chain, logistics, or international business.

Key Responsibilities

Request and review quotations from suppliers.
Assist with comparing pricing, delivery schedules, and supplier information.
Create and issue purchase orders to suppliers.
Enter and maintain purchasing information in SAP.
Monitor open purchase orders and follow up on delivery status.
Respond to routine questions from suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
Coordinate with factory and engineering teams regarding order requirements.
Support domestic and international shipping arrangements.
Prepare invoices and shipping-related documents.
Assist with supplier negotiations and purchasing terms.
Support compliance with company policies and export regulations.
Prepare reports, including weekly delivery updates and monthly sales reports.
Maintain positive working relationships with suppliers and internal departments.
Assist with resolving order, shipment, or delivery issues.
Perform other purchasing and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
Previous experience in purchasing, order processing, logistics, shipping, sales administration, or customer service is preferred but not required.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
SAP or other ERP system experience is a plus.
Interest in purchasing, supply chain, logistics, or international business.
Ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Preferred Background

Experience working in a manufacturing, electronics, machinery, or international business environment.
Experience with purchase orders, invoices, shipping coordination, or data entry.
Familiarity with domestic or international shipping processes.
