JOB SUMMARY
Join ONEOK as a Plant Operator - Intermediate in Tarzan, Texas, and play a vital role in keeping our natural gas liquids processing operations running safely, efficiently, and reliably. In this hands-on position, you'll operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain critical plant equipment, including compressors, pumps, engines, turbines, treating systems, and other processing assets. Working alongside experienced operations and maintenance teams, you'll help optimize plant performance, support equipment repairs, and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental standards.
This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working in a dynamic industrial environment, solving mechanical and operational challenges, and taking ownership of safe, dependable operations. You'll utilize technical drawings, gauges, control systems, and operational procedures to monitor equipment performance, prepare systems for maintenance activities, and respond to changing operating conditions. The position offers the opportunity to build expertise in gas and liquid processing while contributing to the safe transportation and processing of essential energy resources.
Successful candidates will have knowledge of processing plant operations, strong mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills, and a commitment to safety. This position involves both indoor and outdoor work, requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, and may include DOT-covered responsibilities. Travel may be required for training and support at other company locations.

Job Profile Summary

Operate and maintain processing plant equipment including, but not limited to:

Identify and report any safety and/or environmental concerns

Compile and/or maintain information such as time sheets, work logs, safety/environmental forms, and equipment maintenance and repair records

Drive and ensure maintenance is complete on company vehicles

Responsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline. Job duties also require the employee to be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, and where impaired performance, or failure to follow safety precautions, could result in serious injury or property damage.
