Full Job Description

Accounting Manager / Controller (Property Management)

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $80,000 - $150,000 per year (DOE)

Job Summary

· We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager / Controller to oversee the accounting and financial operations of our Property Management company. This position is responsible for financial reporting, month-end and year-end close processes, budgeting, cash flow management, and accounting activities across multiple properties and entities.

· The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional with strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills who can work closely with ownership and management to support the company's financial success and continued growth.

Responsibilities

· Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Payroll, and Bank Reconciliations

· Manage month-end and year-end close processes

· Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

· Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

· Monitor budgets, cash flow, and financial performance

· Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management

· Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations

· Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and financial reviews

· Supervise and support accounting staff

· Manage accounting activities for multiple properties and business entities

· Work closely with property managers and ownership on financial planning and reporting

· Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency

Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

· Minimum 5 years of accounting experience

· Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes required

· Prior management or supervisory experience preferred

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

· Experience in Property Management, Real Estate, or related industries is preferred but not required

· Experience with accounting software such as MRI, Yardi, AppFolio, QuickBooks, or similar platforms preferred

· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required

· Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

· Must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

· CPA license is a plus, but not required

· Bilingual in Korean and English is a plus

· Experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions
