Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate individual to join our team as a casual/PRN Direct Support Professional. As a casual Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with developmental, mental, and physical disabilities in their daily lives. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, time management, patience, and have strong observational skills. This role is crucial in creating a positive and supportive environment for all residents in whichever shift is needed from them.

Hours and shifts will vary from week to week based on what is needed/available. One weekend a month is required.

Duties:

- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration

- Monitoring routines

- Implement individualized care plans and behavioral support plans

- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals

- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times

- Foster independence and community integration for individuals

- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided

Skills:

- Knowledge of resident rights and advocacy

- Experience working with people with disabilities

- Ability to provide patient care with empathy and compassion

- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on individualized care

- Familiarity with home care systems and cleanliness standards

- Understanding Therap and how to document properly with the program
