Full Job Description

A well-established professional services organization is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team. This is an opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader who can help shape and drive the organization’s next phase of growth.

The ideal CFO will go beyond traditional financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. This person will partner closely with the CEO and Board on pricing strategy, revenue opportunities, profitability, commercial decision-making, and long-term growth planning while continuing to provide hands-on leadership of the company’s financial operations.

The accounting team is lean, so this role requires someone who can think strategically while remaining close to the details. The CFO will be equally comfortable presenting recommendations to the Board, challenging leadership with data-driven insights, and rolling up their sleeves with the day-to-day financials.

While the position is 100% remote, there is a preference for candidates within a commutable distance of the Camp Hill, PA area for occasional in-person collaboration.

Ideal candidates should have:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
CPA preferred
10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including senior leadership experience
Experience leading finance within a small to mid-sized organization ($10-50M)
Professional services or similar service-based industry experience
Experience with pricing strategy, revenue growth, profitability analysis, and commercial decision-making
Strong budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, KPI, and strategic planning experience
Hands-on knowledge of month-end close, financial reporting, AP/AR, billing, GL, audits, tax coordination, and internal controls
Experience presenting financial results and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and/or a Board
Strong analytical skills with the confidence to challenge assumptions and bring forward new ideas
Collaborative, personable, and hands-on leadership style

Key responsibilities include:

Partner with the CEO and Board on financial and long-term growth strategy
Develop and evaluate pricing strategies to improve profitability and support growth
Identify revenue opportunities and provide financial leadership around commercial initiatives
Analyze customer and business profitability to guide decision-making
Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, KPIs, and financial modeling
Prepare financial reports, analysis, and strategic recommendations for leadership and the Board
Oversee month-end close, financial reporting, billing, AP/AR, GL, banking, audits, tax coordination, and internal controls
Drive process improvements and scalable financial practices
Lead and support a small accounting and operational team
