Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Manager/Head Chef to lead our culinary team with passion and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional food quality, safety, and service standards. Your leadership will inspire creativity, foster teamwork, and maintain a vibrant, efficient kitchen environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape our culinary offerings while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and support personnel, fostering a collaborative and motivated team atmosphere
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency with established recipes and quality standards
Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs
Develop and plan menus that align with brand standards, seasonal ingredients, and customer preferences
Enforce strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and health regulations to ensure a safe dining environment
Coordinate shift management, ensuring smooth operations during busy periods while maintaining high service standards
Oversee catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely preparation and exceptional presentation for large groups
Monitor kitchen performance metrics and implement continuous improvements in food production processes
Maintain compliance with all food handling regulations while promoting a culture of safety and cleanliness within the kitchen

Qualifications

Proven experience in fine dining environments with strong culinary expertise and leadership skills
Extensive background in food service management, including restaurant or catering experience
Demonstrated supervising experience with teams of varying sizes in fast-paced settings
Knowledge of dietary department practices and specialized dietary needs management
Skilled in inventory management, cost control, and food industry best practices
Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures, HACCP standards, and health regulations
Experience in menu planning, food production, and catering event coordination
Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to motivate teams effectively
Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
