Thomas & Hutton has an opening for a motivated and driven full-time Construction Administrator to work in Savannah, GA for our Infrastructure Construction team.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and change orders.
Review and process submittals, requests for information (RFIs), and other project-related documents.
Maintain accurate records of project correspondence, meetings, and approvals.
Assist in the preparation of project progress reports and financial documentation.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with project requirements, regulations, and industry standards.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and quality.
Act as a liaison between the project team, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
Identify and resolve construction-related issues in a timely manner.
Review and approve contractor work plans and schedules
Document and report on-site observations, deviations, and corrective actions.
Facilitate communication and coordination among project stakeholders.
Attend project meetings and provide updates on construction activities.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure project success.
Address inquiries and concerns from clients, regulatory agencies, and other parties involved in the project.
Assist with project closeout activities.

Typical Duties

Organize and maintain project files and records.
Track project schedules and milestones.
Assist in the preparation of bid packages and contract documents.
Monitor project budgets and expenses.
Coordinate meetings and communications with project stakeholders.
Conduct site inspections and document observations.
Verify compliance with project plans and specifications.
Address field issues and facilitate resolutions.
Coordinate inspections by regulatory agencies.
Provide technical assistance and support to contractors and subcontractors.
Prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
Communicate project status and issues to stakeholders.
Coordinate responses to requests for information.
Mediate disputes and conflicts among project participants.
Foster positive relationships with clients and project team members

Minimum Requirements

5+ years of environmental construction administration/management experience
Valid driver’s license

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field or equivalent experience will be considered.

Skills

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Proficiency in document management software.
Familiarity with environmental construction contracts and specifications.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of environmental construction methods and techniques.
Familiarity with environmental construction safety standards and regulations.
Ability to interpret environmental construction drawings and specifications.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Effective interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
