CMA / Medication Technician – Corrections Healthcare

Iredell County Detention Center | Statesville, NC

We're hiring a CMA / Medication Technician to join our team at Iredell County Detention Center in Statesville, NC — a community-rooted facility where your presence will be felt every single shift.

What You'll Do

Working alongside healthcare providers and correctional staff, you'll be a consistent, trusted presence for patients who often have limited access to healthcare outside these walls. Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting preventative health assessments, screenings, and immunizations
Assisting with chronic care management, sick call, and urgent care services
Obtaining and documenting vital signs, patient histories, and clinical observations
Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation
Assisting providers with examinations and treatments
Supporting medication administration and clinical procedures as permitted by state regulations
Communicating effectively with healthcare providers and correctional staff
Upholding patient confidentiality, facility protocols, and the highest standards of professional conduct at all times

Who You Are

You are a compassionate, dependable CMA or Medication Technician who thrives in a team environment and communicates with professionalism and respect. You're adaptable, organized, and committed to providing quality care to every patient.

Prior correctional experience is a plus, but it's not required. What matters most is your commitment to ethical, compassionate care and your willingness to work in a nontraditional healthcare setting.

Requirements:

Current CMA certification or Medication Technician certification
Current CPR certification
Correctional or detention facility experience preferred, not required
