- Machine Design
- Automation & Controls
- Product Development
You will apply advanced engineering principles across the full project lifecycle, bringing technical ownership, creative problem solving, and a commitment to quality to every engagement. This role demands someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment and can lead both the technical direction and the day-to-day execution of complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems, machines and automated systems.
- Utilize SolidWorks to produce and manage detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and technical drawings across the full project lifecycle.
- Quickly iterate proof-of-concept models and physical mockups to accelerate project understanding and reduce downstream risk.
- Evaluate and validate designs through engineering analysis, coordinating with external specialists for advanced structural and fluid simulation as needed.
- Work closely with electrical and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, test plans and reports, and assembly instructions.
- Translate user needs into clear product and system requirements and manage their implementation.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers by reviewing designs, offering technical feedback, and guiding them through problem solving and best practices in mechanical engineering.
- Own the full technical success of assigned projects from concept through delivery. Collaborate with project management on schedule and budget. Serve as the primary technical decision-maker on assigned engagements
- Coordinate with shop, fabrication, and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
- Lead design reviews and feasibility assessments to ensure technical readiness at each project milestone. Contribute to Statements of Work during the sales process, translating engineering scope into clear client-partner deliverables and commitments.
- Apply a strong background in functional safety and safety-conscious design across all projects. Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, which vary by client-partner and project type, and contribute to Bravo Team’s ongoing effort to establish a consistent baseline of engineering and safety standards across all work.
- Proactively identify and communicate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle. Develop mitigation strategies and drive timely resolution of design and integration issues. Participate in post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future performance.
One of our greatest strengths is the collaboration of our talented team, which occurs when we are all under one roof. As such, this position requires a minimum of several days weekly in-office.
