Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Corporate Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations with precision and enthusiasm. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for all employees while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws. Your expertise will drive efficiency in payroll systems, support benefits administration, and uphold the highest standards of financial accuracy. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape payroll strategies within a vibrant organization committed to excellence and innovation.

Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate all aspects of payroll processing using UKG.
Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws related to payroll tax, wage calculations, overtime, and benefits administration.
Reconcile payroll data through detailed analysis of general ledger accounts, journal entries, and account reconciliation processes.
Oversee time & attendance systems to accurately track employee hours and attendance records.
Maintain meticulous records of payroll transactions, tax filings, benefit deductions, and employee data entry.
Collaborate with human resources and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll with benefits programs and accounting functions such as accounts payable/receivable and governmental accounting.
Stay current on updates in tax law, labor law compliance, and financial concepts impacting payroll management to implement best practices across the organization.

Requirements

Proven experience managing UKG.
Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.
Multi state payroll experience.
Extensive knowledge of employment law, tax law related to payroll taxes, and labor law compliance requirements.
Demonstrated ability in financial analysis skills with proficiency in data entry and account reconciliation processes.
Experience working with time & attendance systems and benefits administration tools.
Background in human resources or human resources information systems (HRIS) is highly desirable.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in payroll processing and bookkeeping tasks.
