Full Job Description

Position Title: Billing Specialist – Temp

Reports To: CFO

Salary/Hourly Rate: $22/hr. - $28/hr., depending on experience

Onsite 100%

Position Overview/Job Description: A client of Keystone Staffing is seeking a Billing Specialist on a temporary basis to join a well-established finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the billing processes, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, and maintaining precise financial records.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, review, and distribute invoices using various billing software and accounting systems
Manage accounts receivable by monitoring overdue accounts and executing collection strategies
Reconcile billing records with general ledger entries to ensure accuracy
Enter data into Excel spreadsheets and financial software such as QuickBooks
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies and respond to client inquiries
Support month-end closing activities through journal entries and account reconciliations
Assist in the preparation of reports related to accounts receivable and collections performance
Perform data entry tasks with precision, utilizing Excel formulas for analysis when necessary
Contribute to process improvements by identifying efficiencies within billing workflows

Qualifications:

Prior proven experience in accounting or finance roles, particularly in billing or accounts receivable management
Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks
Skilled in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits
Excellent organizational skills
Effective communication skills
Ability to perform account reconciliation and analyze financial data accurately

Education Requirements: High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree or higher is preferred.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
